The Doppler scan provides information about the diametre and possible venous incompetence. It detects the location of venous or arterial insufficiency. The Doppler exam informs us about the severity of the existing vascular disease.
What happens at the Doppler UH test?
The UH scanning of lower extremity veins is painless. It is enough to lie down comfortably on an examining bench.
Who and when is recommended to take part in a Doppler UH test?
In case of:
- previous measuring of pathological BKI*
- general arteriosclerosis
- coronary diseases
- fat metabolic disorders (high cholesterol)
