Craniosacral therapy is a form of bodywork using gentle touch to manipuate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium with a pressure equal to not more than 5grams. By affecting all body functions (such as the immune system, breathing, circulation, the hormon as well as the visceral and skeleto-muscular system), its aim is to support the body’s self-healing processes. Our skull works as a pump. This pumping function ensures that liquor is produced in the skull and it is transported down the spine to the sacrum and back to the skull. Thus it keeps our bodily tissues in constant motion and flow. Furthermore, this therapy is capable of releasing soft tissue and fascial blocks, energy cysts and emotional blocks.
